HOW LONG AND HOW MUCH ARE THERAPY SESSIONS?
Individual, teen, and couple therapy sessions are 55 minutes and cost $100 per session. I accept check and cash and give you a receipt that you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement.
HOW WILL THERAPY HELP ME?
In therapy I help you understand your feelings, clarify goals, feel supported in life, and identify the systems in which you live and operate and how to live better within those frameworks. I work with individuals, couples, families, and teenagers, helping you deal with current issues and prepare for life’s unexpected issues.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM A THERAPY SESSION?
You can expect to learn how to communicate better so you feel heard and understood. Clarify your needs and learn how to have these met in your life. Often the most effective therapy involves multiple family members and other significant people in your life, so we may have multi-body sessions to help improve those relationships.
IS YOGA PART OF THE THERAPY?
Therapy sessions will not typically involve physical yoga poses. When helpful I will teach you breathing and meditation techniques for calming your mind, reducing anxiety, and feeling grounded.
HOW MANY SESSIONS SHOULD I ATTEND?
You can expect to attend at least six therapy sessions or more. Many people like to attend regularly for several months, and then return periodically to address specific concerns.
